There. So much misinformation going on in this thread. You get dishonor for resigining in AB (but not in other forms of PvP) because when your team of 4 resigns, your team leaves, but you leave behind the other 2 teams of 4 players on your side who are now outnumbered. The dishonor is awarded because your leaving screwed over them.

Clear and concise explanation thanks Hawk
Under those rules I would stay till dead, retreating from an enemy is one thing deserting allies is another.

Dishonorable is given automatically 90% of the time. I get it every so often from internet disconnects or logging out at the end of a match.
Just go trade in kamedan or play pve for 15 minutes until the hex goes away.

Something rather essential has been missed here....in AB, if the opposition controls all shrines then the match ends in 1 minute. That = a built in mechanism to prevent people having to sit around for the entire match if they are losing so badly. Plus, its not like a battle actually lasts very long.

I got it from internet d/c once - apparently if you leave before it ports you back to the outpost, it counts as leaving prematurely, even after you've finished the match proper. Then again, it's only a few more seconds, so why not wait if that's the case :P

Pretty much, yeah. Once one team resigns just about everyone else resigns too - I think in one AB match I was the 7th or 8th player to up and leave because it was so frustratingly futile.

No. Our WHOLE SIDE resigned, not just my team left, the game ended when our WHOLE SIDE resigned. Our team didn't leave, the game just ended, as it would if the other team had scored 500 points, or gained all 7 control points. And no, they hadn't already won.

Maybe it's because you weren't the last to resign? =\

This is sort of why I prefer to AB with guildies and allies. Even if everyone else gives up, we're still going to harass the other team as much as possible and have fun doing so.
I don't like I have ever voluntarily left a match early, no matter how pissed off I was....at the other team or my own teammates. I've be d/c'ed (and boy don't that piss me off) a few times though.
